Gwendoline Florence Grace Lee (Gwen)
Gwen Lee, who has died aged 97, was a well known and respected resident of Rottingdean.
Born March 9th 1923 in Barnstaple, Devon, she joined the WAAF aged 19. While stationed at Chivenor she met and subsequently married Albert Kingsley Lee with whom she had a son, Graham, and a daughter, Denise.
They moved to Sussex in the early 1950’s and settled in Rottingdean in 1971. She was a member of St. Margaret’s church for over fifty years. She was also a member of Rottingdean tennis club, table tennis club and was twice captain of Rottingdean Bowls Club. She was a keen bridge player.
She is survived by her two children, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
