In memory of
Christopher Robin Carroll (Chris)
On the morning of the 24th October 2020, Chris passed away peacefully at the Royal Sussex County Hospital surrounded by his loving family at the age of 70.
Chris was born on Christmas day 1949 and he never forgave his Mum (Ruby) and Dad (Jim) for giving him the second name of Robin. He was one of three children, Jim (who is sadly no longer with with us) and Yvonne his younger sister.
He did many jobs in his lifetime but the one he loved most was when he was a steel erector, a role that took him all over this country and across the world.
He married Christine on the 23rd October 1971, 49 years together. They had 2 children, Ian & Shelley, and three grandchildren, Lacey, Alfie and Lilly.
He was an active member at East Brighton Golf Club, a member for more than 26years. He liked nothing better than playing a round followed by a game of poker with the rest of the Pot Boys as they are known.
He fought this terrible lung disease for more than 5 years until finally it took his last breath. A fighter to the end, he was still doing his breathing exercise that morning.
He has left a massive hole in our lives, we will always miss him but we have such fond memories to remember him by.
