In memory of
Patricia Estelle Prout
Formerly a hairdresser, Pat loved to look nice and dress up. Known locally as the Cat Lady, as she was forever taking in and looking after stray cats. It was loosing her cats and Barney, her late husbands dog, when she became to unwell to care for them which hit her the hardest. Living in Buckingham for over 30yrs, Pat survived 2 husbands who both sadly passed away from cancer related illnesses. She cared for them both throughout their illnesses and after becoming a widowed in 2009 for the second time she continued to live in Buckingham with her cats and dog.
Pat used to attend and support the local Red Cross centre, working with children and adults alike. A strong and determined lady, she never lost hope that she would become well enough to live in her home again after 5 years of care home residency. Earlier this year after a tough battle the social services pulled out all the stops and got her home. Sadly it was to be short lived and she lost her battle just after her 80th Birthday just a few weeks ago.
