Our darling mother Joan died peacefully on Christmas Day. She was living independently at home until the last few days of her life. She was engaging and a pleasure to be with until the very end of her life, always surrounded by books, remaining knowledgeable and interested in world events and the busy lives of her family and their friends. She was at her most content when members of her extended family were with her.
Joan will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and their partners.

Family flowers only. Joan had a keen sense of charity and was a regular donor to the Trussell Trust, Crisis UK and Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF). We ask that a donation is made to one of these charities in lieu of flowers. The links can be found on the donations tab above.
