In memory of

Ronald Alwyn Hedge

As those reading this will know, Ron has lived a long and full life. Married to Kathleen, they had 3 children - Keith, Tony and Jane together with 8 grandchildren and to date 8 wonderful great grandchildren. Ron was always keenly interested in all the activities and interests of his wide family, proud of their achievements (always citing excellent genetic foundations!) He was always 'there' when family members needed support.

Ron was born in Newport Pagnell in North Buckinghamshire. He travelled widely with our mother throughout their time together, they lived for 12 years in West Africa, enjoyed regular travel in Europe, New Zealand and beyond.

Ron was rightly proud of his time served with the Royal Air Force and the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy. While a serving officer he travelled to Canada and Ceylon (as it was then) flying spitfires as well as other aircraft such as seafires. He went on to eventually have a fulfilling career with a finance bank in the City.

Ron was a passionate gardener, meticulous administrator, extraordinary historian with a phenomenal memory. But most of all he was a very much loved father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be greatly missed.
