Nicholas Breakspear Kirby, Captain RN crossed the bar on 9th April peacefully at home surrounded by love, three generations of family and fortified by the rites of the Catholic Church. He was a loving and loyal father, grandfather, brother and husband, educated at the Reading Oratory, submariner and utter gentleman. “He was of sovereign value in all eyes. In all his life to any, come what might; He was a true a perfect gentle knight.” Mass at 2.30pm on Tuesday 10th May in Worth Abbey RG10 4SB. No flowers but donations, if desired, to St Catherine’s Hospice, Crawley www.stch.org.uk
