In memory of
Barry Charles Cocum
It is with great sadness that the family of Mr Barry Charles Cocum announces his passing due to cardiac arrest while he slept on the morning of 16th August 2021, aged 72.
Barry leaves behind his daughter Penny, his two sons, Christopher and Samuel, his grandson George and the dogs he so doted over, Woody and Torby. Barry passed away at home, at peace and is now with his beloved wife Jessica, whom he had found it almost unbearable to live without. We will miss you Dad, but it gives us great solace to know you are back with your soulmate once more.
Barry lived to make the world laugh. Every day was an opportunity to brighten the lives of others, whether with a little joke or an interesting story. There was never a dull moment when you were with Barry. His energy truly knew no bounds. Until the day he died he enjoyed keeping fit by going to the gym daily and wandering the fields, woods and hills around his beloved home in Ovingdean. Barry was a very successful businessman but his true passion in life was to bring joy to the day of anyone and everyone he met. He was always looking for an opportunity to ejaculate his effervescence (his words not mine!).
He will be so very missed, there is no-one quite like Barry from Brighton.
As a final wish Barry requested that instead of flowers he would appreciate donations to be made to the charities he supported, the page can be found here - https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/barry-cocum
