I have been with CPJ Field for nearly 18 months as Funeral Director for Shires in Bedford and Sandy. I started my career in funerals as a Funeral Arranger and got enormous job satisfaction from helping families up to the day of the funeral. As my confidence and experience built, I realised I wanted to see the arrangements through to the end and trained as a Funeral Conductor, later becoming a Funeral Director.
Having experienced loss, I know how important it is that we guide our families every step of the way from the moment they first make contact with the funeral home right up to and beyond the day of the funeral.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time boating on the river and socialising with friends. I also like nothing better than to have some time alone and immerse myself in an audio book.
I joined CPJ Field in November 2024, after working as a nurse in intensive care for over 15 years. My role as Funeral Arranger/Administrator allows me to use my experience of supporting families through difficult situations, offering guidance and support whilst always showing kindness and empathy. Working alongside families navigating grief and loss is something I find a privilege to be a part of and if I can help make this journey remotely easier for families it’s something I take much pride in.
I work as a Funeral Arranger for CPJ Field, a role I began in October 2025.
Before this, I spent two years as a Mortuary Technician, an experience that taught me professionalism, respect, and the importance of caring for people with dignity at every stage.
My time in the mortuary helped shape the compassion and calm approach I bring to families today. As a Funeral Arranger, I guide people through one of the most difficult moments of their lives, helping them plan a farewell that truly reflects their loved one. I take pride in offering support, clarity, and understanding when its needed most.
Working in funeral care has shown me how meaningful it is to help others during times of loss, and it continues to inspire the way I live and the empathy I bring to my work every day.
In my spare time I love to read, knit and spending time with my family.
It is essential that you choose a funeral director with whom you feel comfortable. Someone who will listen to you and your story, who will remove some of the burden of the many questions and decisions. Likewise, someone who will caringly guide you through the process of arranging a funeral that is personalised and unique, whether you are helping to organise the funeral of a loved one, or simply planning ahead for your own.

The average funeral is held between 13 to 16 days following the death, this timeframe takes into account all of the factors involved in organising a funeral, from obtaining official documentation through to scheduling time for officials and facilities.
It is common practice for some religious funerals to take place within a certain timeframe, where this is requested we will do our utmost to help with your arrangements.
We will work with you to ensure you have the funeral service suited to your needs and you should never feel under any pressure to rush through your arrangements.
