Kind And Sensitive Funeral Services from Heritage & Sons

CPJ Field Bletchley

Working throughout the pretty villages and gorgeous market towns of Buckinghamshire, and now also Hertfordshire, with the addition of Tring. Heritage & Sons are proud of its longevity and service to the local area.

Heritage & Sons offer compassionate and caring funeral services from its funeral homes throughout Buckinghamshire and now, a new Heritage & Son funeral home in central Tring has opened in Hertfordshire.

Buckinghamshire is the most northerly county in Southeast England. Our funeral homes are located in Amersham, Bletchley, Buckingham, Winslow, and Wendover with two sites in the county town of Aylesbury. Heritage & Sons is delighted to support the people of the county and neighbouring Hertfordshire. Buckingham, Bicester, Banbury, Chackmore, Akeley, Lillingstone Lovell, Maids Moreton, Padbury and Gawcott are just some of the towns that use the services of Heritage & Sons.

A proud history for Heritage & Sons

The traditions of Heritage & Sons date back to the nineteenth century with the founding of the first funeral home in Winslow. Although things have changed over the years, the core values of Heritage & Sons remain the same. Emphasis is placed on compassion, personality and legacy.

Heritage & Sons supports the local community

In October, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, all our Heritage & Sons funeral homes were privileged to be a drop-off point for new and used bras helping to raise vital funds for research into secondary spread breast cancer. We collected a fantastic total of 171 bras for Against Breast Cancer.

Last Christmas, all our Heritage & Sons funeral homes were a collection point for Bucks Radio Toy Appeal. We collected toys, games and gifts for babies and children of all ages to help bring a smile to children and their families facing a tough time during Christmas.

Amersham

Leading the team in Amersham is Chloe McKnight who has been with Heritage & Son for ten years. Chloe has a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. She is a big advocate for children attending funerals where appropriate. Chloe enjoys weight training, which she feels helps to clear her mind and also loves spending time with her family. Lynda Conn is part of the Amersham team and has 14 years of experience in the funeral sector. She holds an ‘Above and Beyond’ recognition badge and received a Customer Service Excellence Award in 2017. When Lynda isn’t involved in arranging caring and compassionate funerals, she enjoys walking her dog, reading, cooking and watching old black-and-white films.

Aylesbury Central

At Aylesbury Central, Ben Blunt is always available to offer a listening ear. He holds the role of General Manager & Senior Funeral Director and joined the funeral services sector in 2017 after working in a variety of industries. Ben thrives on ‘making a difference’ and finds this motivates him in a role that can be challenging at times. Outside of work, Ben loves the outdoors, which includes walking, cycling and sailing.

Alongside him is Vaughan Ladyman, a local man who just loves Aylesbury. He is extremely proud to have worked in the funeral industry for most of his working life. His passion is to ensure he always delivers work to the very highest standards at such a difficult time. His outside interests include golf, music and spending time with his family.

Melanie Surman completes the team and brings oodles of experience having been in the funeral profession for 29 years. Her favourite part of the job is meeting people and helping guide them through such a sad and difficult time. Melanie loves travelling and particularly enjoys cruises. She also loves reading, 80s music and letting her hair down with a glass of Prosecco.

Aylesbury Gatehouse

Susan Barber joins Ben Blunt and Vaughan Ladyman. She joined Heritage & Sons in 2020 feeling she needed a change after 35 years as a nurse in the NHS. She feels the skills she learned there including communication, care of families and efficient organisation are perfect for her new role. In her spare time, Sue is a keen dancer and goes to Ceroc, a form of modern jive and when at home she loves to chill out with her cat. Leila Surman has also recently joined the team. Her father was a Funeral Director, so she learnt everything as a child, and she has many years of experience helping families at their time of need.

Bletchley

Nic Ross-Hamilton is the Funeral Director who has been with CPJ Field for 13 years. He is passionate about getting to know and serving the local community. When Nic isn’t helping people with their funerals, he can be found absorbed in his hobby of classic cars and spending time with his family. Lindsay Gurney who feels she has two of the best jobs in the world complements the team. From Monday to Friday she is ensuring that loved ones are given the best possible send-off and always provides a listening ear. And at the weekends she is ‘Loopy Linz’, a very popular children’s party entertainer.
