Never Alone is a free community-based programme from CPJ Field designed to provide emotional, social and practical support to foster greater wellbeing and to help combat loneliness.
Feeling lonely is very common, sadly loneliness is almost universally involved and many people will feel lonely at some point in their lives. People often talk of feeling alone within themselves or some say they feel disconnected from people, even when they are with others.
Whatever it is that makes you feel lonely, we understand that it will be unique to you and that your feelings do matter. Our Never Alone programme near you can help.
Loneliness can be triggered by many different causes such as a bereavement, moving home, changes in relationships or working patterns to name but a few. For some, loneliness is a temporary condition but for others loneliness can lead to serious mental or physical health problems such as depression, anxiety, sleep issues, or poorer work performance.
If you find yourself feeling lonely, you may need to reach out to someone to share how you feel, and to find help and guidance which will work to help reduce feelings of loneliness.
Never Alone can help on many levels. We provide information and guidance on wellbeing or how to manage your emotions, how to find practical help, and where to go to build new social connections to help find new avenues to tackle loneliness.
Across our funeral homes, we hold groups throughout the week such as free coffee mornings, knit and natter groups, mindfulness workshops, and gardening or book clubs.
Sign up to join one of our local activities in the community and find others with whom to share a chat or a similar interest. Or simply join like-minded people to chat over a cup of tea and biscuits.
