If there is one thing that our colleagues tell us about our profession, it is that the real value and job satisfaction lies in caring for families, most often at their most difficult time. This is what brings them such tremendous daily personal rewards. We have many varied and fulfilling roles where teamwork and community spirit are always present.
Changing careers can be an opportunity to try something new and gain new skills. Have you considered changing your career to work in the funeral profession? It can be highly varied, challenging and incredibly rewarding.
A life is a story, and the story doesn’t end simply because the life has ended
What drives us is caring for the living and the dead. We believe that our role at CPJ Field is to help families find the best way they can to bring one chapter to a close and start a new one. We couldn’t do this without our hard-working team who believe every family deserves the best.
A Funeral Director’s role is to lead the local team, whilst achieving excellence in funeral service. Actively and directly involved in the day-to-day operation of the funeral home, our Funeral Directors conduct funerals, manage staff, and promoting the business in the local community. Creating a memorable service will always be of upmost importance as a CPJ Field Funeral Director maintains company culture and supports families through all aspects of their funeral arrangements.
As a critical support to our Funeral Directors, a Funeral Arranger will assist with the administration of the funeral arrangements, arranging and planning funeral services with our families. As the first point of contact for bereaved people, an FAA will be involved with all aspects of funeral home life, offering a warm greeting to every visitor. A Funeral Arranger is the backbone of our funeral homes, and their organisational skills and compassionate approach helps provide a high standard of service.
Funeral Service Team Members provide support to Funeral Directors and are required to work flexibly as part of a tight knit team. Their duties include taking custody of the deceased people, maintaining and preparing support vehicles, and they will attend a funeral as part of the team. A FSTM plays a key role in ensuring funerals are carried out to the highest standards and career progression is encouraged.
As a family-run business, we aim to offer extra benefits to our team members that we hope makes working for CPJ Field more fulfilling and fun.
Outstanding CPJ Field courses and opportunities to study for industry-recognised qualifications for career progression.
