I love working closely with families and the clergy. I have 14 years’ experience of working in the funeral sector. I received a Customer Service Excellence Award in 2017 and an Above and Beyond recognition badge. My colleagues say I am knowledgeable. I enjoy walking the dog, reading, cooking, listening to music and watching old black-and-white films.
I joined the funeral services sector in 2010 at the age of 17, during this time I have worked across a variety of roles within the industry. I have always had a strong sense of purpose being involved in helping others and supporting the community.
This industry allows me to make a difference to people’s lives in a way few other roles could, even though that difference could be something small. This is what truly makes this a rewarding, fulfilling, meaningful and impactful role to have in our community.
I decided to complete my Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration in 2020. This taught me that within my role you never stop learning, the lives of the community and indeed the world change daily, it is our role to try and offer as many unique options to a family with this in mind at their time of need.
Part of my role also includes building awareness of CPJ Field within our local community and during this time I have created some really strong relationships with partners, such as Clergy, care staff, medical staff, local charities and other members from inside the industry.
I am a strong advocate for mental health and a new part of my role with CPJ Field is a Mental Health Workplace First Aider, this is someone trained to provide initial guidance to colleagues experiencing mental health challenges and to promote a positive and supportive workplace culture for all colleagues.
Outside of my role with CPJ Field, I have a love of being outdoors with my wife, Fern, and my three little boys. We enjoy days at the beach in Norfolk, Devon or Cornwall and visiting National Trust Properties where we get to enjoy the outdoors and develop our knowledge of the history of our beautiful country. On other weekends we always enjoy a long walk with my two dogs, being outside to make the best of the British weather.
I rejoined the funeral services sector in 2017, having spent approaching 20 years working across a variety of industries in people management and development roles. Being community-minded, it was always my wish to return to doing something to help others, with a real sense of purpose, in a community in which I live, work and care about.
There are few roles as rewarding as being there for people in their darkest hours. Making a difference, sometimes in the smallest of ways, is something that motivates me every day however challenging the work can be at times. There is simply no other profession I would rather be a part of, working with the very best of humankind.
Part of my role also includes building awareness of the work that colleagues do within the funeral service and educating people on the importance of having conversations about end of life. I am particularly proud of the relationships I have developed with our close partners in our local communities – doctors, nurses, carers, palliative care professionals, clergy and the like – who we interact with on a daily basis through our work to raise awareness of funeral service and help answer the many and varied questions people have about death, dying and bereavement.
However, my role as General Manager within CPJ Field is principally focused on the overall leadership, development and support of our teams of funeral directors, embalmers, funeral service team members and funeral arrangers and administrators to give the very best care and service to our client families, right across the family business, to be the best we can be in the communities that we serve.
Beyond my work, which is a lifestyle, not a job, I also have a love of all things outdoors: cycling, walking, adventure and spending time developing my sailing abilities with my growing children where I can be at one with nature and gaze in wonder at the world around me; making the most of everyday.
I was brought up in a well-established family funeral business, and my father was a Funeral Director. Over the years, I worked in our family business, fitting out coffins, going to removals and helping my father in the mortuary, dressing the deceased. I also did work experience at Amersham crematorium and with other funeral directors too, such as Coop and Laurels as a Funeral Arranger. I have spent time doing other jobs such as domiciliary care and shop work, but I always wanted to come back to work in the funeral business. I am highly passionate about looking after bereaved families and guiding them in their time of need. I live in Chinnor and have two daughters, Mila and Amaya. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, and I do enjoy the occasional night out, with a glass of pinot grigio.
I am originally from Chinnor in Oxfordshire, and lived there all my life, until the last 9 years when I relocated to Aylesbury, which I love.
Over the years, I have had several jobs including running a family pub, working in a doctor’s surgery and working as a carer in the community.
I have been in the funeral profession for 29 years. I am married to a funeral director and immediately knew it was something I was very much interested in, and as they say the rest is history.
I have just joined Heritage & Sons and am excited to be able to use my transferable skills. I have always been customer-facing and a people person, and in this career it is essential. I am very empathetic, organised, and practical, always there to serve our bereaved families and assist our Funeral Directors and staff.
My favourite part of this role is meeting families and putting them at ease and helping and guiding them through such a very sad and difficult time. Also, there is a vast array of professionals that we work alongside in this profession from Doctors, Morticians, Coroners, Police, Solicitors, the Town Council, Florists, Printers, special transport companies, Newspapers, Coffin manufacturers, Crematorium staff, Grave diggers, Clergy, Churches, Musicians, Celebrants, Stonemasons etc; the list is endless, so it is never boring.
Outside of work my interests are my home, family, travelling (especially cruises), chilling out with my dog, reading, 80’s music, watching Netflix, eating out, especially Italian and letting my hair down with a glass of prosecco.
I have lived locally for the past 20 years. I joined Heritage & Sons in March 2020 when needing a change of career following 35 years as a nurse in the NHS. In this role, I use the skills that I learnt there such as good communication, care of families, and efficient organisation.
I gain enormous pleasure from hearing about people’s lives and their stories and helping to make a difficult time a little easier for them.
In my spare time I am a keen dancer and go Ceroc (modern jive) dancing several times a week. When at home I like to read, do crafts and chill out with my cat.
I’ve worked at CPJ Field for 13years. I’ve worked as a Funeral Service Manager and I’m now I am the Funeral Director at Bletchley. I really enjoy getting to know and serving my local community. My passion is classic cars and when I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my family.
I’ve been with Heritage & Sons for almost two years now, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding journey. Before this, I worked in Client Relationship Management, which gave me lots of transferable skills—especially when it comes to connecting with people and offering support.
One of the things I love most about this role is meeting people and hearing their stories. It’s a real privilege to be there for families during such a difficult time, helping to guide and support them however I can. No two days are ever the same, which keeps things interesting and meaningful.
Outside of work, I enjoy getting creative with crafting and love to travel whenever I get the chance.
I joined Heritage & Sons in November 2024. I thoroughly enjoy my role as Funeral Arranger & Administrator, and I take great pride in supporting families to provide the best possible service and a fitting funeral for their loved one. This role also gives me a great sense of achievement. Having lived in the area for over 30 years, I have lots of local knowledge. I also volunteer for a local charity based in Buckingham, Alec’s Angels. In my spare time I love to swim, go shopping and spend time with my family & friends.
My current role is Funeral Home Manager. I have been with CPJ for 10 years. I was previously an army-trained nurse, then latterly worked in the NHS. I love my job as I enjoy meeting so many different people. I feel my greatest strength is my age and my life experience. I wanted to continue caring after nursing. My colleagues would describe me as friendly and helpful. My outside interests are craft activities especially quilting, reading, walking, and my family. When I retire, I’d love to tour around the coast in a motor home. I love to put the music on and bring my sewing machine out.
I have 42 years’ experience in funeral service in Winslow, having worked my way up from chauffeur bearer to my current role. I love the people we meet and being part of the fabric of the town. I enjoy putting people at ease at a difficult time and all the organisational side of my role. My background is in HM Forces and retail. My outside interests include a love of music, classic cars, and motorcycles. Having been here for so long, I will always care that the business here in Winslow is in good hands and continues to thrive and support the people of Winslow.
I was born and brought up in Aylesbury. I have worked in care of older people for 25 years managing care homes before semi-retiring and joining H & S part-time. I have always been interested in the funeral service and enjoy helping people at their time of need. I enjoy forming good relationships with clients and being trusted to ensure excellent service and outcomes for loved ones at a very difficult time. I am proud of the work I do every day. I enjoy spending time with my lovely family, theatre trips, reading, and meeting people.
I grew up in Birmingham before moving to South Africa in my early twenties. After returning to the UK in 2023, I knew I wanted to find a role where I could truly support others and make a positive difference in their lives. I joined Heritage & Sons in Tring in November 2025 as a Funeral Arranger, and since then I’ve been able to use my communication and organisational skills to guide families through difficult moments and help ensure their loved ones receive a service that reflects their wishes.
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors; camping, hiking, surfing, and scuba diving are some of my favourite pastimes. I’m also an avid reader and a bit of a TV and film buff. Photography, especially wildlife photography, is another passion of mine, and I can often be found out in nature with my camera close at hand.
I joined CPJ Field in May 2024 as a Funeral Arranger and Administrator at Heritage & Sons in Wendover. What I love most about my role is that every family I meet is different – each with their own story and needs. It means no two days are ever the same, and I get to be myself while supporting and guiding people through a really difficult time in their lives.
Before this, I worked in retail, reception, care, and ward administration – all roles that helped shape me into the people person I am today. I genuinely enjoy helping others and being someone they can rely on.
One of the best things about working here is the team – the support from my manager and colleagues makes such a difference.
Outside of work, I’m very creative and love anything to do with colour and detail. I make handmade cards and nappy cakes, and I’m always finding new ways to decorate my colour-coordinated bungalow! My favourite way to spend time is with family and friends, especially laughing and making memories with my three young grandchildren.
As Head of Training, I devise and deliver training programmes across the company. I have worked across several roles in the funeral business, including as FSTM, Funeral Arranger and Funeral Director. I love speaking to groups and sharing my knowledge. Currently, I am speaking on creating a funeral booking workflow and information relating to funeral plans. My outside interests include the Church, music, theatre and trying to do some carving. Would you believe I was FHM’s double-page spread as a funeral director in 2008! One day I hope to complete my PhD!
For most of my career, I have worked within the church and the funeral industry, including a period working at a Funeral Directors in the Nottinghamshire area. We relocated to this area post-pandemic. I love that every day is a different day and getting to meet and help the bereaved families who walk into our funeral home brings the greatest sense of fulfilment. I like to make a family feel at ease and am often told I have made their experience of arranging a funeral that little bit easier. My outside interests are Irish Dance which I have done for 30 years. I play the guitar and Irish whistle and flute. I have 3 children and a grandchild so they are my main priorities outside of work. I also enjoy looking after our Alpacas on our farm!
At CPJ Field, I act as pallbearer and chauffeur. My priority is to uphold exceptional levels of cleanliness, with thorough maintenance throughout the ceremonial vehicle fleet. I also carefully remove the deceased people from houses, nursing homes and mortuaries. Working within the funeral service, I find that no one day is the same and each day brings its own challenges and rewards. One of my biggest strengths is that I treat others how I want to be treated myself. Both my wife and I relocated to the area and both work in the funeral sector. My background is I was a Roman Catholic priest in Nottinghamshire. My other interests are gardening, watching sports, bike riding, going to church, looking after alpacas and being with my family.
I have been working for CPJ Field now for over 2 years my current role is that of Deputy Funeral Service Manager, supporting the Funeral Service Manager, with the daily running of the whole Funeral delivery operation. I also still do the role of FSTM if not required in the office, which is a wide and varied role encompassing many different aspects, where no two days are ever the same.
I am also involved in the initial training of all our new FSTMs, supporting them in their first weeks working for the company, and showing them the ropes. The funeral industry is one that for many years I had ambitions of getting into, and I can honestly say that I have never looked back. My strengths, I feel, are that I am compassionate about my work and always strive to do the best I possibly can for our clients and their loved ones in our care. I can work alone or as part of a team and under pressure. Before joining CPJ I worked for South Central Ambulance service for 22 years, serving the public, this involved being part of a 2-person crew and alone on the paramedic response car. I did this for the first 19 years then moved to the control room, taking the 999 calls for a while then onto the training side of the company for my last couple of years. Outside of work my main interest is horse riding, I have my own horse and enjoy riding out in the countryside alongside my daughter. I also love getting stuck into a good book and spending time with my family.
