Sending you, dearest Bev and David as well as all your family my sincere condolences at this heartbreaking time. Although I unfortunately did not have the privilege to meet your Father, this legendary figure of strength and wonder, the stories I have heard of his prowess through you both and Chris will always resonate in me, not least his passion for France and all things French!
May Derek now be reunited with his beloved Rose.
Rest in peace, Sir. The world has lost a great man, and I wish I could have been regailed by your wisdom and wit.
