Ailsa, I loved working with you as head of department. You were a model of integrity and I loved our discussions of faith. In times of pressure, you reminded me that my integrity was something of value and not worth throwing away for temporary praise. May you find joy in your eternal reward.
Ailsa was an incredible bright and warm human with great depth of empathy and understanding for all those whose life she touched.
In the years I knew her she was a solid presence and I feel privileged and blessed to have known her.
May she rest in peace. I will miss you very much Ailsa.
Please accept my sincere condolences. Ailsa was a bright and brilliant woman whose presence added extra sparkle and passion to our reading group. Ailsa often shared her wisdom with my teenage daughter Karima. She cherishes their time together as I do. She will be missed but also carried in our hearts as an inspiration and example of strength and resilience.

Adelaide, Ailsa was a very dear cousin when we were growing up. Unfortunately we lost touch in the last 10years as I stopped visiting England. During her visit to The Gambia whilst I was there has fond memories of my " TomBoy" little cousin. You will miss her but God will comfort you. May she Rest in Perfect peace.

I would like to extend my sincerest sympathy to the family of Ailsa, and the entire Harris family. My thoughts and prayers are with you this moment. May God receive her soul with open arms, and may her soul Rest In Perfect Peace.
I had the pleasure of knowing Ailsa and her brothers through my aunt, Sister Vickers in Whitehaven when I was growing up. Ailsa leaves behind many happy memories of the times she joined us on Guide camps and outdoor adventures. It has been my pleasure to have known Ailsa as a friend. She grew into a remarkable lady and has obviously passed on many of those qualities to her daughter, Adelaide. Our hearts go out to you all. Rest in peace Ailsa, love from Doris & Andrew
Also and I started the same year at Denbigh. I shared an office with her in 98-99.
She was calm and cool whereas I wasn't! The job was never ending but she just kept on smiling.
Lovely lady...my sympathy to Ailsa's family xx
My sincere condolences to Adelaide and the Haris family. I really cherish the time I spent with you at Oakdale. I will miss you dearly. MHSRIP.
It is difficult to light a candle for you, my dear Ailsa. Our friendship started in Form 3 at the Annie Walsh Memorial School and lasted all our adult life. My children know you as my best friend even though they never met you. Thank you for being such a dedicated friend who never failed to send a card on my birthday and at Christmas; a friend who cared about those in need and a friend whose warm personality attracts others. I would rather say Au Revoir as I hope to see you again in that big house with many rooms. Sleep on my dear friend and sister until we meet again. May God grant you peace and may He watch over Adelaide.
Thanking God for your loved one's life and thinking of you with sympathy during this difficult time.
May your gentle soul RIEP Ailsa.

I have been searching for you for years ever since we parted in Freetown, Sierra Leone.we were high school friends in Freetown and lived one street away from each other in Murray Town. We spent many beautiful mischievous days together. Last night October 9 2021 I had that sudden urge again and was up late scouting the internet determined to find someone to link me to my long lost friend until l stumbled on your niece in Facebook. She was kind enough to respond and informed me of the funeral. This is so hard to believe. My sympathy to the family. May she Rest In Peace.
Ailsa, thank you for everything you gave to mankind. You were a pillar at Oakdale and you will be greatly missed. You fought a good fight, you ran the race, and the Angels were waiting for you at the end of your race. Thank you for your love.
Sending love to Adelaide and the whole family.
Ailsa was my classmate at the Annie Walsh. She was a quiet, reserved and generous person when she interacted with others. She was also very intelligent and a dedicated student, Her father was a successful doctor and her mother a beautiful woman. Ailsa rests in peace and the divine light of God guides her lovely spirit. My condolences to the family!
Our sincere sympathy to the Harris family. from Gloria, Ernest and Family. Rest in perfect peace.
On behalf of Chalk Hills Academy we would like to pass our condolences to the family of Ailsa Harris. She served at our school for over 8 years as a history teacher and head of faculty. She was truly an inspiration, always did what was best for the students, nothing else mattered. She gave her everything to her students. No nonsense kind of teacher, the students wouldn't dare to mess with Ailsa!
We had many great memories together as a team which would never be forgotten. I personally have lost a colleague and a dear friend.
May you rest in peace

ailsa true missed & dontion to the family
You still have a place in my heart. Sleep well dear Ailsa and take your rest. God will continue to watch over Adelaide and your family. Rest in peace.
It was a profound shock that I learned of the passing of a great friend and colleague, Ailsa. Our paths first crossed while working with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (racial justice) group at the South Beds Circuit of the Methodist Church in Britain, which Ailsa represented with vigour and wisdom. Ailsa was a marvellous and compassionate human being, willing for the good of all people. She demonstrated that so effectively in our three years working together, developing the Circuit's Equality Strategy. Your poise, confidence, wide knowledge and commitment to justice and humanity, represents a lasting tribute to your boundless energy and undeniable positivity. You demonstrated a encouraging outlook to life to the very end of life. You are missed! Rest in God's peace! Arlington

I'm personally thankful for the time Ailsa spent with us in Gambia, and for her impact on my life in bringing comfort and encouragement to me during the days of the loss of my brother Ade, here in Gambia.
I'm personally truly grateful to God for Ailsa's life and for her positive example and influence in the lives of many family members and students especially here in Gambia.
Ailsa was a strong woman and she was a quiet believer in Jesus Christ.
Thanks to Adelaide and all UK Family for making us in Gambia a part of the Funeral Service online.
She Rests Peacefully In The Lord Jesus Christ, Amen!
Thank you Ailsa for your support to the Toddington Methodist Church and for all that your were to so many people. Yours was a life well lived and I thank God for the privilege knowing you, although I have learned through your wonderful funeral service that I didn’t know the half of you. God bless. Rest in Peace x
