We are deeply sorry for your loss, and we are thinking of you all through these difficult times. Clive will be missed by so many people in so many ways.
We have all lost a lovely man who will never be forgotten xxxx
Clive, you’ve made our family more happy, more loving, more generous and simply, more. We will miss you so much, you were a wonderful person to know xxx
Clive was one of the class of '68. Before that though, Clive and I were at Humphrey Davy G S. We didn't know each other well until we both caught the night train from Penzance to London for our interviews at Queen Mary College. From then on we were long time friends. There are too many stories and great memories of that time. I am so pleased that Clive and Jane made it to Aotearoa and for giving Lynley and me an opportunity to show you te papa (our place) and the opportunity to reflect on those many stories and great memories face to face.
To Jane and whanau, kia kaha (be strong)
Nga mihi aroha.
Kevan and Lynley Summerlee
Clive was one of four of us who played golf together on a Friday afternoon at Dewlands. He was a great friend who was always cheerful and amazing in his positive attitude throughout his illness. We will miss him enormously and send our condolences to his wife and family.
Clive was a valued friend and colleague and was a very popular member of the DOGS Golf Society. He will be sorely missed and my condolences to all Clive's family and friends. "May you rest in peace Clive"
I cannot begin to describe how sad and sorry we are at Clive's passing. Clive was a wonderful family man, a lovely thoughtful husband and a great, great friend. We will always remember his many acts of kindness, his superb hosting skills and his ability to organise us all with such decisive enthusiasm! We shared so many good times and laughs, as did all the family at many celebrations and holidays. May your shared happy memories of Clive sustain you, Jane, and all of the family who mourn him, during the dark days. The world has lost a very special person.
Morris on, our dear friend Clive, ('Me 'Ansom')
Clive was a lovely man . I spent so many amusing hours on stage at Rushlake Green where Clive organised the back stage . Always helpful and with time to give even when very busy , and all done with a a great sense of humour . I shall miss him very much . Jonathan Gray
Clive, we can barely begin to imagine a world and a life without you. You were simply the kindest, gentlest, and most loving stepfather, father in law and grandpa, and we shall all miss you more than words can express. We love you ♥️♥️♥️♥️
In memory of Clive, a great friend and fellow golfer, and a key member of the "awesome foursome", our regular Friday afternoon golfing group at Dewlands. We will all miss him greatly, he was a fantastic person to know, and he had a really great sense of humour. Throughout his illness he always maintained a very strong positive attitude. We enjoyed his cheerful comments in his lovely Cornish accent, and he frequently shared with us his latest news about his family. We all hope that Jane and family will gain strength in the knowledge of how much he was loved and respected by his friends. We will all miss him very much.
Clive, you were one of the most kind, honest and distinguished people we've ever met. We will miss you greatly, especially at family gatherings...you always organised everyone and made sure things ran like clockwork. We hope you are able to rest in peace now forever more XXX
Deeply sorry for your loss. All our love.xxx
