Rest in peace, Simon, you were so kind and caring, always making a joke with every conversation. You're not suffering anymore but that doesn't mean you won't be missed dearly. My heart goes out to the family and hope that may they find comfort in this challenging time

So sad to hear this news. Simon was my MT (Motor Transport) Cpl when I was Troop Commander of B Troop Clapham. Forever grateful for his support and guidance. The ever smiling gentle giant. Stand down soldier, your duty is done.

Thoughts are with Tracey and the girls. Unfortunately I will be out the country on 20th but many of 210 are hoping to attend

I have been trying to think of the right words before writing this, but there is no right words except it was an honour to know him, to work with him and manage him. He will be missed by many and be in our hearts for ever. I know his name will be mentioned over the years at work and it will always be with fondness and laughter.

I was very sad to hear the passing of Simon. I was Simon’s manager on Openreach when he worked in Eastbourne. I retired 7 years ago but bumped into to him working in the field, about 5 years ago where we had a catch up. I wanted to pass on my thoughts and condolences.
