Veronica Tilly Morris

It is with great sadness that Veronica Tilly Morris from Letchworth Garden City passed away at home on the 14th May 2025, at the age of 81 years She is survived by her husband Brian, her sons Nick and Steve, her grandchildren Chloe, Ben, Daniel, Keira and Scarlett and her great grandson Jenson. Veronica was born in Hitchin to her parents Fred and Tilly and had a brother Paul and sister Gillian, she met Brian at the age of 17 and they married in 1962 and had a long marriage of 63 years, during her time she worked in several places finishing her career at the Grange School serving 20 years as the school secretary. She touched so many hearts and would stop to talk to anyone in the town that knew her. She had a talent for baking and cooking, and her talents included ceramics, sugar craft and making cakes for all occasions. When people would visit they would be offered a eccles cake or some shortbread or one of her scones. whatever she had made on the day, She also enjoyed spending the time with her family and would always have time for everyone especially the grandchildren who have been taught some of those talents she had. She enjoyed knitting items including characters like footballers in team kits,soldiers and bears. She leaves behind many friends who will miss her conversations and messages. Everyone will miss her dearly.
