Alan Christopher Sanderson (Chris)
Chris was born in Edinburgh on September 15, 1950, and moved to Essex in his youth with his siblings, Ian and Gail. He enjoyed a joyful childhood, marked by adventures in gardening and sailing, and attended schools including Ebury Road Primary and Rickmansworth Grammar School, where he discovered a passion for science and mathematics.
After studying Chemical Engineering at Bradford University, Chris began a successful career in the oil and gas industry, contributing to significant projects, including offshore platforms in the North Sea.
He married Sandra Kermeen in 1979, and together they raised their two children, Andrew and Sarah.
Chris was an active community member, serving as a Parish Councillor and taking on various charitable roles. In his later years, he found joy in gardening and cherished moments with his grandchildren, sharing adventures that brought smiles and laughter.
Chris passed away surrounded by loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, determination, and dedication to family and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
