On Wednesday 18th September 2024 Karen Elizabeth Byass died peacefully in Milton Keynes University Hospital aged just 59 after losing her protracted battle with melanoma.
She leaves behind her devoted husband Ian and two beloved boys, Sam and Jack.
Karen became the cherished wife of Ian when they finally got married in 2018, although they were an inseparable couple for almost exactly 40 years and lived together for the past 34 years.
She was a dedicated and doting mum to Sam and Jack and gave up her career to provide a stable, loving and enjoyable home and upbringing for the boys. Karen was also Aunty (and part-time second mum) to her brother’s four children; Paul, Tina, Lauren and Chloe, who she loved dearly.
Karen’s funeral will be at 11am on 22nd October 2024 at Bierton Crematorium near Aylesbury, followed by a “Celebration of Life” at Hartwell House. Black dress is not required because Karen always hated wearing black to funerals, so bright colours are encouraged.
