Thomas Wright (Tom)
With heavy hearts, we wanted to let you know that Tom (Dad) passed away suddenly on Wednesday 7th August.
There aren’t enough words to convey our pride in his courage and dignity throughout his long illness.
Cancer takes a lot from people - Dad never lost his sharpness or his sense of humour even during times of great pain (whether that was from medical treatment or recent Man United performances!)
We have been so touched and grateful for all of the messages received so far. It’s wonderful to know how many people saw Dad as the special man that we knew him to be, thank you.
Funeral details are as below:
Friday 30th August
12noon: Ceremony & Committal at Bierton Crematorium, HP22 5BH
1.30pm onwards: Reception at Chiltern Forest Golf Club, HP22 5NQ
Smart casual dress, so please wear what you're comfortable in, and the family would love to see an array of Golf and Football colours on display (preferably from the red half of Manchester or Wendover Walking Football Club!)
Family flowers only please. We'd be grateful for any charity donations, details of Tom's supported charities can be found on the donations page below.
Finally, Tom wouldn’t have wanted anybody to cut short their friday morning game of golf! So we are aiming to live-stream the ceremony in the clubhouse at Chiltern Forest Golf Club for anybody that would feel more comfortable paying their respects that way.
