The family would like you to join them for refreshments following the funeral. The committal at the crematorium will be a private service.

Ernest Raymond Higgs (Ernie)
Our Darling Dad, Ernie, passed peacefully on the 30th July at the age of 83, with his family at his side. Adored Husband of Hanna, Father to Chris, Steve and Merry, and Grandad to Georgie, Millie and Mabel.
Dad lived a wonderful, full life, from his younger days playing football at Chesham before leaving to find a new life as a ‘Ten Pound Pom’. He found the love of his life, Hanna, at the Embassy Ballroom in Perth, where they danced the night away to ‘Moon River’. His life was then spent flitting between the UK & Oz, enjoying endless adventures cycling, swimming and spending time with his loved ones.
Gramps was a loving, positive, radiant soul who considered everyone’s views, but without doubt, he was happiest spending time larking about with his three granddaughters.
The last few years of Dads life showed just how strong he truly was, and with this in mind, we kindly invite you to make a donation to ‘Macmillan Cancer Support’, in preference to flowers.
We will always remember Dad as he was before his Illness, the kind, fun-loving, gentle giant who showed us all what unconditional love really is.
