It was a always a pleasure to play bridge both against you at AVBC and in more recent times as your partner in the SMBC team events. Good humour and a good bridge player. You will be missed Chris. Rest in Peace.

I worked with Chris from 1996 and loved every minute of the time we spent together. A warm, charming, gentle and kind man, a true gentleman.

His brain was the size of a planet with his skill at that time in developing very complex algorithms to manage the scheduling and rostering of trains and personnel. A great talent, with the ability to communicate in simple terms that all could understand.

Lots of laughter and fun too was had by all. Chris my friend you will be missed, but we are so fortunate to have spent time with you and will cherish the memories.

My condolences and best wishes to your family and friends, may they gain some peace in their wonderful memories of a great man.

Have known Chris and Marie for many years through playing bridge. In fact after checking he had played with me for at least 78 boards on the occasions when we were without a partner. Will miss Chris in the bridge clubs and also the annual Bournemouth bridge holidays. Thinking of Marie and family during this very sad time.
