Hauwa/Hauwie was a beloved classmate in Girls High school, Gindiri from 1974 - 1979. Her death is a big blow to all of us. She will be sorely missed. May God grant her family the strength to bear this loss, as she continues to rest in peace

It's with deep sorrow to hear the passing of our dear Hawa. She was my classmate in G.H.S Gindiri and was our Food Prefect while I was Deputy Head girl. We carried on in our childish ways but successfully went through it. One outstanding attribute was her very calm and peaceful disposition, dedication and discipline. You hardly heard her voice throughout the term except in class and the dining room. We hadn't seen for a long while after her marriage which I played a part in the preparation since duties took us to separate places. Its regrettable that we didn't meet while in the UK but God is the giver and taker, so I wish her eternal rest in the bosom of our Lord. May the Lord comfort Nde Gomos and the children at this difficult time. Adieu Hawa!

We join the Gomos family in mourning the passing of a very special person. This is a woman who sacrificed everything in order to secure a future for her children. No woman has ever given up the luxury of living with her husband just to ensure that the opportunity to provide a safety next for her children is secured like she did. For that we are forever grateful. She will surely be missed. I will miss hearing her laugh which was always from the heart. May her gentle soul forever rest in peace with the Lord.
