A man of many words, companionship and enthusiasm a man who will leave a gap in many lives. An honour to have been in your company.

Sad news of John’s passing.
I’ve known John for over 20 years as a fellow member of Crawley cc.
He was a great servant of the club and was always trying to look out for the club in his various roles at the club.
As a person he always willing to help you out if he could and although he had his own views he was always a fair man.
He will be sorely missed.
My condolences to all his family

Very sad to hear of John passing away
He was the first person I met when I made my debut for Crawley CC overv20 years ago and he made me feel very welcome. We always got on very well and you could rely on having a socialable beer with John after any match. He was a fine man and will be greatly missed. RIP

Fond memories of great rugby camaraderie, especially in the Goffs Park Clubhouse.
On the pitch it was a joy to 'watch' your sidesteps, dummies and sprints.
Pity I couldn't keep up with you!!
Rest in Peace old friend.

So sorry to hear the Sad news of Johns passing.
We met 50 years ago at Cherry Lane, where he taught me how to hold a rugby ball, and afterwards how to hold and refill a pint glass.
Rest in peace old friend.
