My sincere condolences to Christine and family, Chris will be missed by many friends and family.
He was a core member of the Pot Boys and we started to play together back in 1994 and I was fortunate to be one of the last to play with him. He will be remembered every year at Christmas as we play for a trophy in his name.
Rest in peace, Chris
John

We weren’t close mates, but I really enjoyed chatting with you Chris, both at EBGC and David Lloyd where we used to spur each other on and encourage one another to keep fighting. You never gave up mate, and you’ll be sadly missed. RIP fella.

Dear Chris,
So many memories of you over the years, you have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, so hard to believe you are no longer with us. You lived your life to the full and more than anything showed us all the importance of having fun and a laugh. I am sure Jim, Ruby, Maisie and Norman will be waiting with a drink for you once you get to the 19th hole in the sky.
I love you mate, was an honor to know you.
Truly a great geezer.
Rest in Peace,
Mark

What a blow, hearing you were no longer with us Chris.
I am now the last one, of us boys standing, sad.
But your presence is still felt, like the wind, rustling in the trees, and the air we breath.
No more covid worries Chris.
Now your whole again, you can play golf till your hearts content, L.O.L
Memories of our youth, are plenty.
A child hood secret, Butchers in London Road, had a cold slab outside.
Mum gave me money, to buy a chicken.
One kept a look out, why the other grabbed the chicken, then we spent the money on rubbish, plenty of hail Mary's for that one Chris.
Back in the day, when we shared digs, I used to snore for Britain, you couldn't wake me, did your head in, so you had to sleep in the bath, Not a happy chap L.O.L
But one thing, you always made sure I got home after a heavy drinking session.
We did eventually get more responsible. L.O.L
You will be missed by us all, God bless, till we reunite again.
In our prayers
John , Teresa and Family xxxx

Chris,
I always remember meeting up with you and the boys in the Brunswick on a Friday night after work, talking about how many steel buildings we had put up lol.
When working away from home in stoke we were all erecting a steel tower in a cement works, my brother John and myself decided to put our feet in a set of chains hanging from a jib of a tower crane to take a quick way down for tea break, as the crane manoeuvred away from the steel you shouted, 'wait for me', then you lept off the edge of the building and wrapped yourself around us in mid air. It was only 375ft high, lol.
We were all mad steel erectors in those days especially you and John. So many memories Chris, you were a great bloke and there was never a dull moment when you were around.
You will be sadly missed mate.
God bless you you.
Cousin Tony.

Rest in peace Chris, you've been taken from us far too early, and my heart goes out to Christine, Ian, & Shelley.
I can still remember clearly the friday night drinking sessions and pub crawls we used to do. With many fond memories of the Brunswick Arms, and not forgetting you were the one who got me in to golf.
I hope you find the 19th hole in heaven, and if you do put a pint in the bin for me.
Fid & Chris

To my dear Brother Chris,
Well you are gone now up with the angels Mum Dad Jimmy and family,
Christine gave you the best send off she could in these awful times,
But don't you worry as soon as we are allowed we will give you the send off you would have wanted and deserved.
I wrote a poem for you but you already know that don't you,
But didn't quite get it right today, you would have had a little giggle about that with me.
Goodbye dear Chris Love and miss you always will not be the same without you.
All our Love From Peter and Yvonne xxxx
