My fellow northerner, you were a great friend when I first went to Buchan as a young geordie, you made me feel welcome with your sense of humour and kindness. We shared many a train journey back to Newcastle, and enjoyed some great stories and laughter with the Aberdeen riggers who always seemed to be drawn to us.
