Alex was the first person to welcome me to Brighton having made the difficult decision to move from Lewes. His warmth and fun will make him a true legend and discussed for years. To his family I am sorry for your loss and hope that you remember your lives are better for knowing Alex.

The Life and Soul of the Party, was a role that my dear friend Alex was destined to play throughout his busy life. I had the privilege of knowing him and Pam for many years and I can honestly say we never had a cross word. Socially he was fantastic, yet his superb business acumen, were in demand by the many charitable organisations that were fortunate to have an association with such a talented man.
His Family was an ever present thought in his mind and their well being of prime importance to him. A true friend and a valued colleague, and a man that will be sadly missed by the multitude who had the distinct pleasure of knowing him.

Alex was a "Good Chap", a lovely man and all round top bloke.. Alex's sense of humour was second to none, especially on Rugby tours, and, "what goes on tour stays on tour"
Alex's help and input into the book 'The History of Brighton Football Club (RFU)' was so very much appreciated and you would take your life in your hands if you ever mentioned the clubs "Stripy" Blazers.

I knew Alex in our rugby playing days before I came to Australia 50 years ago. He was already a leader , motivator with great people skills and clearly continued to give much to many in subsequent years . His passing is a great loss. My condolences to his family and friends . We mourn his passing but remember him as a " great chap" and friend to many.

We loved your dad, he provided me a lifetime of laughs in 15 years and I will be forever indebted to my wife,Susan, for the introduction.

Dear Ted
Sending our sincere best wishes to you all - I only have the fondest of memories of your dad and the kindness and hospitality of an open home he showed me over the years whilst we were studying at Brighton. The booming voice, raucous laugh and fondness of a Harvey’s also spring to mind.

Best wishes from us all
Chris

Such a great and lovely man, very funny, raconteur par excellence, articulate, supportive to everyone. He never doubted his enthusiasm for life or others and will be missed by all especially his immediate family. I have some fantastic memories of the man and these will always stay with me. Rest in peace Alex.

My goodness have just read the very sad news of Alex’s death. We met Pam and Alex at a B&B in France on one of their trips back from Italy. They are such lovely people, we instantly liked them and met up again a few times in the Uk (with Lucky their dog) and at their place in France. This is the same message as others. What a fabulous sense of humour and of welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed each meeting. Love and best wishes to Pam.

I am very sorry to learn of Alex's death. I would love to make contact with any current Pincus family members. We have sadly just lost my mother, who worked with Dr Joe Pincus, Alex's dad, during the 2nd world war and I have some memoirs of her time at the surgery I'd like to share with the family if of interest. Please feel free to contact me on the email above.
