In memory of the good times
And to Phil we raise a wine
Knowing that the super trouper
On Phil will always shine

We sang and danced
We talked ,she cared
Thanks for all the laughs we had
And all the years we shared

The majority of our relationship was via voice notes, and I will miss hearing your voice and wild laugh. There are 100s and 100s of students from Oxted that have been inspired by you. I hope you knew how much you were loved. I will never forget you (mainly when I'm having a glass of fizz!) I'm so sorry and sad that it had been a while since we spoke. Until we meet again xx

Phil was a beacon of positivity, cheer and fun. We had lots of good times and laughter and that’s how I will remember her. Sending love and thinking of all of her friends at this sad time.

We met first day, first class at University. Mature students all of us, trying our hand at Epic & Romance narrative. Phil was calm, all business on that first day looking so confident. Parking was a nightmare in South West London and yet Phil managed an arrangement with the nuns so she could park in the convent ‘strictly no parking for students’ zone. Phil always canny and courageous, the most fabulous of friends. Over the next three years we touched base weekly at lunch and breakfast or drinking boxed wine in a car during a particularly boring Shakespeare lecture. We continued to touch base each school holiday for almost 30 years. Listening, giving caring Phil. Always funny and a joy to be around. Beautiful, laughing Phil with her wonderful smile and summer freckled tan giving great hugs and her time to us. Already sorely missed.
Bon app Liz and Rhiannon

Phil, the enigma, the beacon, queen power tower, but most of all my dear friend.

There are no words I can write that would do your life justice, or express just how much I will miss you.

I take comfort knowing that in the last few years you had a blast and really made the most of your time after teaching!

I have so many hilarious memories of our time working together and our crazy nights out. You always brought so much energy and fun to everything you did and never failed to leave me smiling.

Sleep tight my darling… Mwah!
