Dear Kathleen, such a wonderful warm, kind & caring lady. Fiercely independent & determined to succeed in all that you done. It’s been an honour & privilege to have known you through the game you loved - Petanque. You have done so much for the game within the London Region & without you Croydon Petanque Club would not exist. So this is the Legacy you leave. A sport which can be enjoyed by all.
You always encouraged me to have a go at shooting & if I missed, just to try again.
I have so many fond memories, your cheeky smile & glint in your eye, just seeing people enjoying themselves. When I asked your secret to a long life - a small glass of red wine was the reply. 🍷 an achievement reaching 100!
So I’ll raise a glass in your honour.
A remarkable lady who led a remarkable life, an outstanding Petanque player, who will be greatly missed.
