Lots of lovely memories of staying at David's Guest House and seeing him in cabaret and in pantomime. A legend indeed. Isi Nimmo

David (or Maisie, it never mattered) was a truly dear lifelong friend of our family but especially my Aunt and Uncle (pictured here in 1984 at my Aunts 50th Birthday Party). They kept in touch throughout their lives from the early 60's before Maisie took the club scene by storm. Even though David was based in Brighton and they were in Norfolk, many parties over the years were made only made more special by a turn from Maisie Trollette and I can remember fondly the 'balloon' dance Maisie insisted on demonstrating at one such party! I do have the photos!! I spoke to David last year on my Aunts passing and although he was not in the best of health, we had a very witty and obviously profanity laden conversation that made me cry with laughter, but also reinforced that David had never lost his spikey charm and quick turn of phrase. The world will be slightly less sparkly without Maisie (and David) . . . a true one off, a true class act and a true legend. Thank you for the memories.
