I worked as a play leader at the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in the 1970s and 1980's when Freda was Matron. She was so well respected by everyone. She was very kind and supportive but also very upright and totally dedicated in her approach to managing a busy hospital. The standards of care she expected from everyone was second to none
