I only heard about Roger's passing today at Selhurst Park as his name was shown on the big screen as one of the CPFC supporters who had passed away in 2024. I have many happy memories of batting with Roger at Purley CC back in the 70's and 80's .. the Axeman would have thrived in today's 20:20 world! One particular game for the 2's away at Ashtead stands out.
