A bird gives a message back to the world, and sings a silent prayer that makes the rain cry.
People disappear, but they never really go away.
The spirits up there put the sun to bed, wake up grass, and spin the earth in dizzy circles.
Sometimes you can see them dancing in a cloud during the daytime when they're supposed to be sleeping.
They paint the rainbows and also the sunsets and make waves splash and tug at the tide.
They toss shooting stars and listen to wishes.
And when they sing wind songs, they whisper to us "don't miss me too much. The view is nice and I'm doing just fine".

Will miss you Chris...your interlect and wit . Your loyalty and caring way... Your interest in music and politics... So so much you enriched my life and I'm so glad we remained friends all these years... Fifty if them!!! And so happy i got to see you in 2018. You deserved so much better.. No health problems no stress just love and joy and a long life.. But i am glad you are at peace now and with your family and friends that have gone before you. They will be rejoicing in your company. It’s so hard writing this message. Chris was an amazing person and a true gentleman . I am happy he was in my life and that I saw him a year ago. The trauma is over but such rotten luck. I will remember him playing his guitar on Brighton beach and miss him a lot. Carrie and Tony.

How very sad we are here in Oz to have lost Chris. He was a lovely man, with whom I enjoyed many great catch ups, and conversations both in person and online or phone calls throughout the years. While I've been in Australia for a VERY long time, we kept in touch with phone calls and emails. And I enjoyed staying with Chris in Edgware on my trips back to Blighty. James too is forever grateful for Chris' wonderful hospitality while he was exploring his connections to the UK. Chris had a wonderful sense of humour and he was a great writer. I think he'd have been a good journalist. We will miss you Chris. Lots of love from your Aussie cousins. RIP

Fly high Chris! We met at work in 1999 at Friedheim's and stayed in touch ever since. Thank you for all the great conversations and support you offered. One of the kindest people I have met. You won't be forgotten🕯 🙏

I worked with Chris at Oscar Friedheim in the 80's where he became a close friend we still exchanged e mail and gossip up until a few months ago. I will miss him.
