A much loved neighbour who was always bright & cheerful - always interested in what was going on - always interested in our five granddaughters & always happy to have a “sundowner”in the back garden together . Gilly will be very much missed .

Gilly was always kind and generous to young subalterns looking for a place to sleep on a Saturday night. She will be missed dearly. Sending love to her family.

Remembering happy times with love
We are so sorry to see that Gilly has died. I remember a happy holiday with all the Tophams 60 years ago when they had a house on the Cote d`Azur.
You may remember coming to our house to collect Frederique Dantin when she did an Exchange with Catherine.
Our deepest sympathy to you all,
Patricia

I have such fond memories of your mum she was always so kind and welcoming. I remember all the times we stayed with your parents in London normally after a concert & she would always stay up wanting to hear all our news. Sending you all lots of love at this very sad time xx
Dear Gilly,
I have been told I have a rose-tinted view of long-haul flights between Australia and London. But that's because upon arrival I would make a bee-line for Holland Villas Road or Chiswick and be welcomed with open arms, a big hug, and your electric smile! No sooner had I dumped my bags, I would have a whiskey in my hand, and be peppered with a barrage of excited questions, as you attempted to catch up on all the happenings. Your grace, incredible hospitality, effervescence, and witty quips will be sorely missed. Rest in peace Gilly! All our love, Chris, Juanita, Molly, Eliza, and Josh Topham
