To my dearest Nan,

The kindest soul on earth. You have been the most wonderful and supportive Nan to me, and Granny to Jessica & Liam. We are so proud of everything you achieved in your life, and for all of those people you helped along the way, including me over the years, but especially all of those children you helped through school in Gambia.

I will miss our lunch breaks together and I’ll really really miss the stories. You were and always will be my best friend Nan.

We all knew how much you loved us, I just hope you knew how much we loved you in return.

We know how much you missed Grandad and your two children, and we take comfort in knowing that you are with them again.

I still cannot believe you are gone. I expect to see you every time I walk into mum's. I feel so lucky that I got to have so many years and memories with you. All our holidays together, time spent laughing and sunning ourselves, telling jokes and you always giving me the best advice.
I am so glad you got to meet Andrei and Ronan. Only for a short time, but to see how much you both loved each other, how he would beam a big smile at you whenever he saw you.
I struggle to imagine life without you, a piece of my heart will always be broken.
