Pete has known Joyce for nearly 50 years, living next door for many of them. Penny first met Joyce in the early 90's, and we both have fond memories of visiting for tea and chats even after we moved to the West Country for a spell. We would talk about her many cruises, her younger life in London, and her life with Alf. We were thrilled that Joyce came to our wedding in 1996 and she loved receiving postcards from all our travels. Pete used to visit Joyce often in the years after Alf's sad passing and remembers her constantly telling him to get his name on the Council Housing List. We are both sad at Joy's passing but she clearly hadn't been comfortable for a while. We will remember her gentleness, enthusiasm and kindness.

My Dear Auntie Joyce, so kind and gentle. We shared so many happy times. I loved coming to visit as I was always greeted with our favourite, a nice cup of tea and a cake. Will always remember our holidays which included many cruises. They were so much fun and we always had a good laugh. Will miss you but love lives on in memories and nothing can change that. You are now at peace. God Bless xxx

Our memories of Joyce always seem to involve happiness and laughter. Her kindness and generosity made everyone feel welcome. We remember those August bank holiday get togethers, especially the one when she arrived in the cab of a car recovery vehicle. Scones and jam and many cups of tea. We will miss and remember you Auntie Joyce. Rest in Peace xxx
