Andy gave so much to so many, wanting nothing in return. He was such an honest, kind-hearted, generous, hard-working, admirable man. He has taught me so much within my career and always gave valuable life lessons. Andy, thank you for all you have taught me over the years and always being at the end of the phone. Andy made the world a much brighter place. Rest in peace my friend, until we meet again.
Kind hearted, generous man who will be sadly missed. Rest in peace

Although I didn’t know you personally, I saw how much you meant to Cherie and her wonderful children, my thoughts and prayers go out to them. Rest well.
Andy was an amazing man. He was a great help and support to me during my short time at CPJ Field and it was heartbreaking to find out that he had died. It is a tragic loss to so many people that we have lost him as he has touched so many lives through his kindness and seemingly neverending list of good causes he was involved with, giving his free time to help others. My sincere condolences to his family at this difficult time. The world needs more people like Andy Holter.
Such a sad loss. Will be sorely missed. Was an honour and a delight to have known you.
It was a pleasure to work with you Andy. You were the only trainer who managed to make the most boring subjects fun and enjoyable!
You will be greatly missed and were loved by so many.

Andy you truly was the most kind hearted person I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet and work alongside with! My heart goes out to your beautiful family and all of the amazing colleagues at Haines who I know will always have a special place in their hearts for you! You will always be remembered as the kindest soul to anyone who had the pleasure to cross paths with you. Rest in peace.

It was our pleasure to have known Andy, and to have been able to see his dedication to his profession and the compassion he had for bereaved families. We send our heartfelt condolences to Andy's family, friends and colleagues, RIP. From all at the NAFD Board of Education.
Oh Andy, the Battle office is not the same without you here! I will miss our funny moments, I will miss "putting the kettle on" and our funny chats. I will miss our sneaky Ham Rolls ( sorry Cherie!) But mostly I will miss your big personality, your support and your kindness. There are BIG shoes to fill here at Haine and Son, but NO ONE will ever be Andy Holter xxx
Andy, Thank you for all your support you have given to me over the years, you will never know how much you helped at times. You brightened up everyone's lives and always had something positive to say, I can honestly say I have never met anyone as caring and kind like you. I will miss you Andy, Rest in Peace x
I have known Andy since the age of 14, when I joined the Police Cadets,
Since I was growing up, Andy has helped me through tough times and has always been on the phone.
This man ALWAYS put others first, never a second thought.
Andy's departure leaves a void that can never be filled. His memory will always linger, a testament to his profound impact on our lives.
It is a pleasure to have known and served with this legend for 22 years. He has always been there for everyone. My love goes to his parents, Gill and Mick, and to his wonderful family, Cherie Holter and her family at this sorrowful time.
Andy was such a lovely , kind and caring man. He really wanted to make a difference in this world and that was so clearly shown through his kind heart and dedication in everything he did. May you rest in peace and your memory lives on. Thank you for everything you have done for me and the support in the past when you were with Eastbourne St John Ambulance, and lately with your role as chairman of the newly formed Ouse Valley Fellowship. We all miss your guiding light and may it shine enternally.

You were quite possibly the most selfless, kind, generous, gentle and understanding man I have ever met.
A very special mold was broken when you were made and there will never be another one to replace you.
Your energy, your love, passion and drive for what you believed in was nothing short of admirable. Thank you for everything you ever taught me. Your patience, guidance and teaching will stay with me forever.

I am so sad at Andy’s passing, my heart goes out to Cherie and all of Andy’s family, colleagues and friends.
In my role as a funeral celebrant we worked together for over ten years. It was always a privilege to spend time with someone whose care and compassion shone out. We got to know each other and I was proud to call him a friend. I don’t think I have met anyone quite like Andy. He was one in a million; so many people have had their lives touched and changed for the better through meeting and knowing Andy; his family can be proud of this amazing legacy.
Andy’s kindness, support and care for others is an example for us all to take forward into own lives. May he rest in peace.
A devastating loss to everyone who knew and loved Andy, especially Cherie and his children. Sending love and thoughts to his loved ones & will cherish happy memories of times spent with this wonderful, caring, kind human xx

Andy was a kind, caring, cheerful, genuine person who made everyone feel valued. During FSTM training he used to say that each and every one of us mattered and that we could all make a difference. He had time for everybody and nothing was ever too much trouble. Some people just make your working life better - and Andy was one of those people. I will miss you. But I won't forget you.
I’m so sorry for your loss, Andy was absolutely brilliant during my teens at St John’s Cadets. He will be sorely missed x
Miss you Andy
Always remembered, thank you for your friendship, love to all the family
Always remembered, thank you for your friendship and for all the unconditional love and support you provided for others. Love to all your family.
