The world has taken another good one who deserved longer. I hope you’re now at peace my friend and all the widow widgets and curtains monkeys are keeping you occupied.

Until we meet again my old friend 💙

Erol was truly one of a kind. It's hard to forget his larger than life personality, loud booming voice and off the wall sense of humour. Nikki introduced me to Erol as her partner in 2005 and within minutes we were laughing and joking like old friends. He continued to make me laugh throughout our friendship. Even over the past few difficult weeks, I have often thought about the hilarity that he brought to our lives; the daft songs, silly faces and 'Erolisms' which will always stay with me, When my son Finley was born he became a much loved 'Uncle' and was known affectionately to Finn as 'Unckie Erol'. Finn loved him, just as my husband Ben and I did, and spent many hours playing games, making cars out of cardboard boxes, laughing and being silly with his brilliant Unckie. The world is a far less colourful and vibrant place without you, Erol. We miss you so much. x

Erol was a spark, a very bright spark, who lit up the team with his wit, self depreciation and good humor. I enjoyed my time with him and the wider team, and just see it as so unfair and far too early to lose him from this world.

Booya! Will forever remind me of the grin that was always on his face.

Farewell.

I've known Erol since childhood. We became good friends in our teens and his generosity was immediate as well as his cheeky sense of humour and love for similar music to me. Even though we moved to different parts of the country after school, I'm pleased we managed to stay in touch, meeting occasionally in London for a few drinks, and at weddings, and then his 40th, which was amazing! It's truly sad and a shock he has departed so soon, far too soon, but at least he will be at peace now.

I knew Erol through my daughter Jo and son-in-law Ben who were both childhood friends of Erol and Nikki respectively. We met mainly at our family gatherings, he was always such fun, cracking jokes, and his zany sense of humour was so endearing. Rest in peace Erol, you will be so very sadly missed by your family, friends, and all that had the privilege of knowing you.

I met Erol through my sister and brother-in-law. He was such a fun and lively character and came to many of our family birthday celebrations. He was taken far too soon and will leave an emptiness in the lives of his family and friends. My thoughts go out to Nikki, Anouska and all his family. May you be at peace Erol x

I worked with Erol for a decade: initially as colleagues and then as co-founders of a tech startup. It's hard to comprehend that he's no longer with us and I hope his journey continues, one way or another. I'm including a great photo of Erol from a trip to Poland where we had a lovely time and was a milestone in our business. I will remember that specific moment as we were both truly happy. My deepest condolences to Nikki and Anouska.

I worked with Erol for a year or two. I remember clearly the day I met him (to interview him) and we knew we had to hire him immediately. He was a great member of the team, and a lot of fun to be with in and out of work. The photo shows him caught on camera in Times Square. As you can see, it was snowing and cold, so we spent most of the afternoon in a great dive bar somewhere off the High Line.

Sorry to see you go Erol.

Still can't believe your gone Erol. You were a larger than life character and will be dearly missed! Thank you for all the amazing memories and life changing advise... From the radio station tapings we would do as kids, to the amazing magic tricks you would do, to letting me borrow your Wrestlemania IV double video tape (was a huge deal at the time), your IT expertise and helping me spec my PCs, to giving me a pep talk that made me realise uni was more than just studies (and moving out of London) and to selling me your beloved Audi TT MK1... Rest in peace cuz. Allah rahmet eylesin.

It was a great privilege of knowing and working with you.
