I will miss your reassuring presence next door, the friendly neighbourly chats, and your kindness and counsel. You led a fascinating life, full of memories and chapters, I enjoyed hearing you recount. A life well lived. I will miss just sitting with you, whether in your beautiful garden in the sun with a glass of wine, or by the fire during the dark winter months when your warm smile and words of advice were a great comfort. In my mind I still see you when I glance out of my window, tending with care to your garden, and soaking up the simple tranquility we were lucky to share in our beautiful corner of Sussex. Sleep well, dear lady.
