Dearest Iain, I am so saddened we have lost you. Even though we hadn’t crossed paths in many years, some of my fondest (and fun) memories are from the ‘Cannon Hill’ & West Hampstead days, what a time we all had!

Heartfelt condolences Vicki, Alex, and Ben. My thoughts are with you and the whole family. Wishing you all peace and comfort as you navigate your loss. xx

I am very sad to hear from afar that Ian has passed. He was a big part of my teen years growing up in Canada. There was a gang of us that always hung out together for years! I will always remember those days. Very influential in my life. Rest in peace Iain-many people cared about you!

As a brother there are many a story to be told and some that cannot.
Stay strong. I am not able to attend in person but will be with you 'virtually' on the 6th Feb. Much love, Mary (eldest sister)

Our heartfelt condolences to Iain’s wife and sons, and to his brothers and sisters. This is terribly sad news.

We both knew Iain when we were younger. His lovely sister Jennifer is our age and we all hung out together. Laird Dunlop (Reid’s brother) and Iain were the same age and were great friends. It was one big group of brothers, sisters and friends. Such good memories at such a pivotal time in all of our lives.

Iain’s megawatt smile and his wonderful personality won over everyone he met. Iain was a really good guy, he was a genuinely nice person. He will not be forgotten.

Iain was larger than life. Hard to imagine a world without him. I've consider myself lucky to have been adopted into the Wilson fold, and Iain always went out of his way to make me feel welcome when I'd see him in Canada, or across the pond.
To Vick, Alex and Ben my deepest condolences.

So very sad to hear of Iain's passing. We grew up together in Ottawa, and were often mistaken for being brothers/cousins. As a young man Iain was full of life and had a great sense of adventure. It's very dififcult to imagine him gone. Condolences to all family and friends. TW.

As my younger brother I had the pleasure of watching him grow up from the time he was running around in his cloth diapers. They would never stay up due to his skinny back end and chicken legs. He was involved is so many sports and it was great playing hockey with him, going to the park for frisbee and spending time on the ski hills. I am going to miss is infectious smile and can do attitude.

My most sincere, heartfelt condolences to each and every member of the Wilson family. Iain was a wonderful friend to so many over the years, and those that had the pleasure of knowing him have great memories - and probably some really, really great stories!

I'm sorry I can't be with you all tomorrow, but please know that I am there in spirit. Willy will hold a special place in the heart of so many of us from "back in the day".

My condolences to Vicki, Alex and Ben and the rest of the family.
Iain's laughter was infectious, his sense of humour contagious - everything was better with Iain in the room. So many fun memories - playing Sunday night hockey, family in Grand Bend and Sauble Beach, his visits back to Toronto in more recent years. Lots of good times along the way.
I will miss this great man. And I wish the Wilson family a speedy move from mourning to happy memories.

I was very saddened by the news of Iain’s passing and I send my deepest condolences to his wife and children and to all of the Wilson family back in Canada. Iain and his siblings and parents were so welcoming to me when I spent a year as an exchange student in Ottawa in the eighties and became great friends with Barb, Iain’s sister. Rest in peace Iain. To the Wilson family:: Ian had one of the most joyful and mischievous life sparks I have ever come across. I recall him being an opportunistic optimist, always ready for fun, for action, for adventure. Such a lovely human being. I know how much you will miss him, and i send my deepest sympathies xo Hugh Duthie
