With fond memories of an exceptional aunt
I want to send deep sympathy to Sues family as they face losing a very special and much loved Mum/ Grannie and lovely companion. I already treasure the two booklets of poems that she gave me, and will look forward to re reading some special ones when I return home from visiting a new granddaughter in Worcester. Sue made me so welcome when I joined the art club once I retired thirty years ago and was a lovely blend of empathy, encouragement and humour for us all! She is and will be spoken of very often by those of us who had the joy of knowing her. Farewell dear friend and my thoughts are with you all as I share in her memorial service now. Ann
Dear Jo, Kate and David,
Susan was such a kind and beautiful woman. I have many joyful memories of all our family Christmas’ together. I remember one year she replied to our letter to Santa and it was so magical. Sending lots of love to all of you at this sad time xxx
Forever grateful to you and Derek for your friendship and hospitality through my tough years, and for many fond memories of our times together since.
Kate, Jo, and David are in our thoughts.
Mike and Sarah.
So sorry to read of Sue’s death. We were in the same class at Harrogate Grammar and went on to Whitelands College, then shared a flat in London.
I remember hitchhiking to Cornwall, spending a night with Sally on the way. We drove to Spain in an old van with Sue in the back sitting on the tent. Much to talk about if we had managed to meet up after retirement. My condolences to Jo, David and Kate.
Was a pleasure to have worked with you Sue, a wonderful lady x
