A piece of me has been taken with you to rest. 20 beautiful years were spent with you by my side as my protector, confidante and best friend. The kindness, compassion and love you embodied will continue to inspire me and there will always be a space in my heart reserved for you. Although too short, I am so blessed and grateful to have spent the time that I had with you as your little shadow perhaps a little annoyingly at times! You were the most selfless, special, and caring lady whom impacted so many lives. There was no end to your talents; teaching, knitting, cooking to name but a few. Your roast dinners remain to be iconic, they live on as your legacy with the many other memories and influences that you have left with us.
In my mind, heart, spirit and blood forever and always Mum, I love you.

Dear Nigel and Family,

Words are never enough at these desperately sad times. You are all very much in our thoughts and prayers. Melanie was a big part of all our families through her involvement with the school and especially to us with Toby's close friendship with Matt. You will all draw strength from each other in the coming days, weeks, months and beyond. Our condolences are extended to you all. Phil

Beth and Amy
Your lovely mum was always smiling, always kind and always gentle. I will remember her that way. To my mind she was truly the perfect mother. She was blessed to have you two lovely daughters and you were blessed to have such a special mum.
All our love and prayers to you. We are thinking of you.

I was so sad to hear about Melanie. She was a dear friend and although we did not see each other often, she had a special place in my heart. She always will.
Melanie was a truly selfless person, she always put others before herself and I had first hand experience of that when we worked together at St Philips. She was my organiser, my secretary, my confidante and my shoulder to cry on!
My prayers and thoughts go to you, her dear family, she spoke about you often. She was so proud of you all. God bless x

We are all so sad to hear about dear Mrs Lampard. My four children at St Philip’s were very fond of her, especially our youngest who she taught on a Friday afternoon when he was in Y1-“ she was very kind and always helped me when I got stuck”.
You will be very much missed and my thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. Rest in peace.

It has been our privilege to call Melanie Our Daughter in law.
Since marrying our son Nigel, Melanie has bought us much happiness and joy in her far too short a life.
Melanie had many talents, but her most enduring legacy must be her dedication to family, putting others before herself always.
We will miss her wise council on all things family.
Melanie has bought up 3 wonderful and loving children, this must be her legacy.
Rest in peace Mel, we will miss you and cherish your memory forever.

Lovely Mel, a pure and beautiful soul who was unable to understand unkindness in others because there was none in her. Always gentle, always ready to see good in people. Her light and love shine on in her children. How lucky we are to have known her.

There can be few greater legacies than what someone leaves behind in their children. The gentle composure of Amy, Matthew and Bethany at today's service was amazing and a fitting tribute to their mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and with Nigel at this sad time. With much love from John, Jane, James & Tommy x

Working as TA at St Philips was a definite highlight of my life, especially my time spent in Year 1. One of my fondest memories is at the end of the day I would be putting my Chloe and Amelie's hair in a bun outside the classroom, getting ready for ballet. Mel would come down to see Jeanette and Sarah and we would have a laugh talking about our triumphs and non triumphs of the day. I will always remember those times so fondly.
My thoughts and prayers are with Melanie's family and friends. Thinking of Mel makes smile. I am truly grateful to have known her xxx
