Fran,
I am so sad for your loss and hope you and the girls are coping. I was knocked sideways when I heard the news as I thought Bernie was recovering and I could carry on going to his gigs and having a chat afterwards as we had in the past. I will never be able to tell him that he got the best girl in the Latin School, but I think he knew that.

So sorry to hear of Bernie's passing.
I had so many wonderful conversations about music with him, and l used to be totally immersed in the brilliant stories he shared with me about his life in music.
He very kindly offered to help raise funds for my small charity in Roka, Kenya. He played three consecutive nights at the Radclive Centre in Buckingham, and donated each nights takings to three different causes, including Roka Primary School. I had the honour and privilege of introducing Bernie and his band on stage on each of the nights.
It was a wonderful, generous gesture by Bernie, and the kids at Roka Primary School and still benefiting from his kindness to this day.
Bernie's passing is a sad, sad loss, and he will be so greatly missed.
