Mike was such a genuine, sweet, caring man. Rarely in my life have I met someone so welcoming and generous with their time and energy. I worked with Mike while he was filming me at Lick Library. Being in front of the camera can be very stressful and emotional at times and there was NEVER a moment in all of the years and literally hundreds of projects that we worked on together when Mike wasn’t 1000% supportive of the process. He was so patient and always made me feel comfortable. He always had a kind word, a smile on his face, and a bad joke or two, which I always loved and appreciated. For me being from the US I always felt like I had stepped into a Monty Python movie with Mike, and I loved those movies! We spent a lot of time together as he would often drive me to and from my hotel and I always enjoyed the extra time we had. I’m forever grateful to have known you Mike; there will always be a place in my heart for you.

My sincere condolences to all family, friends, colleagues.
Mike was one of the most genuine and loveable person I had the pleasure of knowing.
We worked together on many shoots, with big crews and lots of artists, he brought calm, control and especially humour to our film sets. Which made the days work very enjoyable for everyone on set. He was a true “lovey, sweetie, dwarling” on set, full of wonderful stories of who he’s been filming, the lovely locations he’s been to. Full of laughter.
We’ll miss him dearly, a lovely lovely sweetie dwarling of a man.
Rest in peace dear friend.

Trinder.

Mike - aka Jon Pertwee …
Every shoot we did together was an absolute joy whether on a boat in Denmark or in a castle up north. You were a wonderful hilarious gent with the ability to light up a room with your energy and laugh. The world is a little cloudier without your sunshine RIP.

I feel very lucky to have met Mike and spent some time working with him at LickLibrary. When I started out as a tutor there, he was welcoming, kind, patient and very funny. I was nervous, but he was always so re-assuring and warm. At the time he worked alongside Rich, they had such lovely camaraderie, very funny together. Mike taught me lot that I can't quite put into words. A special human being. Thank you for your kindness Mike. I am grateful I had the honour of spending some time with you.
