Ian used to smile and say "Mark, you're the son John never wanted." But John was the father I always wished for.

Much love to you all in your loss. I recall the visits of John, Gwen, Nicola & Ian to Mum & Dad's shop in Chichester. John was a real livewire and somebody I looked up to as a young man - I'm sure he'll be sadly missed.
Thank you John for being an amazing Father In Law. We've had so many laughs and good times over the years. Thank you for supporting Ian and I in so many ways, helping to get us on the property ladder, helping us to with so many building and home improvement projects. Thank you for the wonderful holidays, especially the road trips we did when Kim and Beth were young. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, humility and humour. I will treasure the memories forever. Love always Heather.
Uncle John, you will be dearly missed by us all.
Dad, you were loved by so many and will be truly missed by everyone who knew you, you will never be far from our thoughts and always in our hearts, rest peacefully now, love always Nicola and Adie XX
Love you Grandad.
I'll treasure the happy memories we've made together on holidays as well as at home. It was always nice to see how Lola made you smile.
I'll miss your laugh and talking to you about gardening. I'm glad you got to meet Sterling and see Nick and I get married. And that you came to see one of my circus shows last year.
All my love 💜
Nearly 64 years of memories John, I will never forget you and will always love you. Rest in Peace. Gwenda xx
Dear Dad
Thank you for everything, for your quiet wisdom and your gentle manner. For the love you gave our family and all the time you gave up for us when we were young and not so young . For instilling the important lessons in life.
I learnt so much from you, but above all it was the importance of working hard and always giving your best in whatever we endeavoured to do.
Heather and I will be forever grateful for all you did for us over the years and for the many happy times we shared with you and mum, Kim and Beth, at home and abroad, we will always treasure them.
Through the crisis and the good times you were always there for us.
I will miss you every day.
God Bless
Ian
