We truly have lost a great man. Not only a father figure to James and Charlotte but a loving husband to Debbie and a dear friend to all that knew him.

Graham you are missed so much by myself and others. We will miss your fascinating stories and your charming winks and who can’t forget that gorgeous smile. Although you are not here in this world your legacy will carry on.

Very sad news, my thoughts are with Graham's family at this time.
I worked at GE with Graham, and I do have very fond memories of the golf trips to France that Graham joined us on a few times. He was well liked by all in the group, he was a very likeable, easy going man and always good company to be in.

I am grateful for all the memories I have with you. A great colleague, you would always make my day better with a smile, a nice word, or a joke. Such a kind and caring man, may your family find peace in the many memories they have with you.

Taken from his family way too soon. Graham & I worked together for a few years and through some challenging times he was so supportive to work with, always finding solutions to problems. He also enjoyed working and it was therefore good fun to work with him. Rest peacefully my friend

I knew Graham over his time at Amersham International and then GE. It’s very sad that we now mourn the loss of such a kind and respected man and someone who was liked by all who met him. I extent my sad condolences to Debbie and his children, at this very difficult time, and understand the sadness felt by all. I have attached a photo, kindly sent to me by Sally, when he was her supervisor, and all in this photo will I am sure remember him with fondness and affection over the years they spent working as a part of a team in those good
old days of the company.

Dear Graham , I remember the early days at Amersham Int. We all used to have such fun in P32 , and of course you met Debbie at that time, when you came back from her office you had the biggest smile on your face and we knew where you had been. And so your happy tale began . Top man and gentleman. RIP Graham ,and best wishes to Debbie and your family xx

Graham was always an approachable and engaging man; someone who shared much of my world view, and who helped shape it, in some ways.

His sad and untimely passing sees yet another of the ''good guys'' leave us. His irreverent humour and quick wit were a gift.
I shall miss him greatly.

May his beloved wife, Debbie, and his family find comfort that Graham was loved and appreciated by a great many people.

I have very fond memories of Graham when working at Amersham International, later GE. He always seemed to have a smile on his face. When I lived in Wendover, my late husband and I often bumped into him and Debbie at the top of the hill nearby.
Rest in Peace, dear Graham. Can't quite believe you are gone.

I have many fond memories of Graham and wish to extend my condolences to Debbie and family.

I worked closely with Graham over many decades at the Grove Centre. Especially, remember his enthusiasm when we shared our first Dell computer. Unlike me, Graham
was able to use it effectively straight out of its box!

Over the years, Graham’s natural charm and expertise, was put to good use hosting numerous supply chain tours. Whether a customer tour or a group of Inspectors, Graham was so proud to show off the facilities and demonstrate the skilled work and dedication of the teams.

Rest in peace.

Mr Bird - what a guy! It was a pleasure working with you at GE! I never knew you to be in a bad mood. You always had a smile on your face and helped when needed. You were taken far too soon!

I was very saddened to hear of Graham's recent passing and send my heartfelt condolences to Debbie, James and Charlotte and the rest of Graham's Family. I am thinking of you all at this sad and difficult time.

I first got to know Graham when we worked in connected buildings at Amersham Labs., in the mid/late 1980s, although in different departments, the nature of our work meant we had a lot of contact.

For me, it was always a pleasure dealing with Graham, he was the most pleasant of men. Always helpful and willing, any problems were dealt with coolly and calmly, and he would get the job done without fuss. I never saw him flustered or angry, neither with people nor things.

Some years later, in the late 1990s, Graham became responsible for material management in the Life Sciences Division, by now I was working in the Logistics Group, specifically on the strategic procurement of isotopes. This was when our paths crossed again, in a big way, and Graham would often join me on supplier visits; that's when one really gets to know one another, and my earlier opinion of Graham's lovely personality was confirmed, and reinforced.

I can say with sincerity, that some of my most memorable overseas visits were spent in the company of Graham, it was always a pleasure when he travelled with me, we got on well, he was indeed the perfect colleague and travelling companion.

I have happy and vivid memories of those times with Graham. We worked hard together in meetings, discussing such things as contractual, pricing, quality and scheduling issues, but we also enjoyed the "extramural" activities that often occurred during such trips in those days.

I've been thinking of Graham a lot since hearing the sad news, and it has amazed me how so many things have come into my mind, it's a long list of funny, cultural, "scary and hair-raising" things, something always seem to happen! Whilst here is not the place to list them, some of the places where they happened are:

Warsaw, Gdansk, St. Louis, Boston, Tashkent, S. Africa.......

Thank you Graham, for being the lovely person you were, and thank you for giving me so many happy memories of the laughs and the fun times we had together on our travels - I will never forget them.

May you rest in peace Dear Friend.

It is with great sadness I learnt of Graham's original diagnosis and of his passing away. My condolences to all the family, he will be greatly missed. Graham achieved a great deal over his career and in remembering one occasion in the picture below, where we opened a new distribution centre, Graham can been seen with his distinctive smile. He was a force for good and has been taken away far too soon, RIP.
