Ann joined our small Psychologies Magazine discussion group back in November 2020 when we'd transitioned from face to face meetings to Zoom.

She was so engaging and warm, bringing wonderful stories along with compassion and support for others.

She talked about caring for her Father, her grief after he passed and her close bond with family. She was always offering kind words of support to us and once she joined it was as if she'd always been there.
I shall miss her popping up in our group, laughing and sharing her stories and we shall continue to keep her spirit alive in our future meetings.
Thank you for letting us share your grief and pay our respects.

Dearest Ann,

Thank you for your thoughtfulness and the kindness you extended to my mother and I when you kindly hosted us at the museum. Thank you for ensuring mine and other life stories have been captured and now told through print in the museum.

Thank you.

Ann was a dedicated trustee at Discover Bucks Museum over the last few years and made a huge personal contribution towards ensuring that the personal stories and achievements of under-represented local communities became visible at the Museum for the first time on the web site and in the new displays. This included donating her father's wedding shoes for display in the new Bucks People gallery, helping to set up a new black history group, co-ordinating several blogs and videos telling the stories and experiences of West Indian people in Bucks and assisting with online exhibition Looking Back Walking Forwards black history shoe project / black history webinar. Her own professional photo was taken as part of a Museum project to represent different people in Bucks and this photo is on display in the new Bucks People's gallery along with many others - a fitting tribute to all Ann's significant achievements at the Museum.

Fond memories of Ann her laughter and smile.
We Remember visiting Bucks Museum seeing her father's "wedding shoes" and reading his story, how amazed the children were they too were "Alphonse."
Ann helped to make changes @ Discover Bucks museum.
She will be missed.

My beautiful cousin, you have left us and it's difficult to come to terms with the fact that I will never see your face or hear your laughter again...I know you wouldn't want us to be sad, and that your concern would be for Flora who is left to make sense of the void in her heart. We will hug her and rally round her because when we hold her it will be like holding you. You are gone but never forgotten your memory lives on in our hearts and minds xxx

Dearest kindest, gentlest most beautiful of souls, what good fortune I had to know you. I am in a state of shock and can’t believe you have left us so young. I will always cherish the warmth of your friendship and company: you’ve left me with wonderful memories that I’ll hold dear. I can picture your beautiful sunny smile and that is some comfort. May you find eternal peace love and happiness among heavenly souls.

Thank you for journeying with me a while; I’ll miss you greatly Anne Alphonse: you were a joyous presence.
With Much Love. Shah XxX
