Tony & Dorothy Herbert
A sad passing of my dear friend and golfing partner of many years. We had some great times together and lots of laughs and joking. Please reserve a "T" time up there when I join you for another round.
God bless you,
Tony

I first met Phil and Lesley, Nikki and Tracey when I returned to the UK from Australia in 1975 to join the British Army. I was a big lad with long hair. I knocked on the Furnace Green door, Phil opened it and I informed him that was Dave, the son of Lesley's cousin. After 5 seconds, I was invited in, kettle on, shown the spare bedroom and met Lesley, Nikki and Tracey.
That was over 46 years ago and I have always been welcome , fed, watered, entertained and things repaired lovingly since. I was honoured to be at his 80th birthday. He was a gentleman, kind, friendly, loving, clever man and an inspiration to me. Never forgotten. Rest in Peace Mate xx
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.
Rest in peace Phil.
You were a wonderful friend for many years.
