So sad to hear, John was a great supplier and a great man he treasured his business to provide great service, if we forgot to order would always produce an emergency order or message me to let me know. So sad to hear this news especially as i was speaking to him on the Wednesday after his heart attack and he told me what had happened. He was a genuine, honest lovely man who took pride in his business through all the issues with Covid we ha e had to deal with for 18 months , I also know his so. John, you was a gem. When I left school you gave me a job working in the shop. You never minded when I gave a special offer late in the day of the leftovers trying to clear what was remaining. You always gave me a cuddle and we always had a laugh. A jam doughnut will never pass my lips again without thinking about you. The word 'Passion' is used far too often, and yet John was truly passionate in his devotion to his work, his staff, and his customers. John was also defined by his decency and old-fashioned good manners. He was both a gentle man and a gentleman. Although humble, he stood heroically above the rest of us.
